Hair Care & Disclaimer
Thank you for choosing D’s Beauty & Bundles. Proper care is essential to keep your bundles and extensions looking beautiful, soft, and long-lasting. Please read the guidelines below carefully, as they form part of your purchase terms with D’s Beauty & Bundles.
How to Care for Your Hair Bundles & Extensions
Washing
- Before washing, gently detangle hair from ends to roots using a wide-tooth comb or detangling brush.
- Use lukewarm water and a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo. Avoid products with harsh alcohols.
- Shampoo in a downward motion, keeping the cuticles smooth and avoiding vigorous rubbing or twisting.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all product and buildup.
Conditioning
- Apply a moisturizing conditioner or deep conditioner, focusing on mid-lengths and ends.
- Use a wide-tooth comb to distribute product evenly while the hair is saturated.
- Allow conditioner to sit for 5–15 minutes, depending on product directions.
- Rinse with cool or lukewarm water to help seal the cuticle and boost shine.
- Avoid applying heavy products directly to the wefts, as this can cause buildup and shedding.
Drying & Heat Styling
- Gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel or cotton T-shirt. Do not wring or twist.
- Allow hair to air dry whenever possible for best longevity.
- If using a blow dryer, use a low to medium heat setting and a heat protectant spray.
- Always apply a heat protectant before using flat irons, curling wands, or other hot tools.
- Avoid excessive heat (high temperatures, daily styling), which can cause dryness, breakage, and shortened lifespan.
Storage
- Always ensure hair is completely dry before storing to prevent odor and mildew.
- Brush gently and secure the hair in a loose braid or ponytail to minimize tangling.
- Store bundles and extensions in a satin or silk bag, box, or on a hanger in a cool, dry place.
- Keep hair away from direct sunlight, dust, and excess humidity during storage.
Tips to Extend the Life of Your Hair
- Limit the use of heavy oils and styling products that can cause buildup and tangling.
- Sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase or wear a satin/silk bonnet or scarf to reduce friction.
- Gently detangle hair daily, starting from the ends and working upward.
- Avoid swimming in chlorinated or salt water with unprotected hair. If you do swim, braid the hair, wear a swim cap, and cleanse and condition immediately afterward.
- Do not cut, split, or aggressively pluck at wefts; this can increase shedding and shorten the life of your bundles.
- Schedule regular maintenance appointments with a professional stylist experienced in working with extensions.
- Follow any additional care instructions provided at the time of purchase from D’s Beauty & Bundles.
Product Use & Longevity
- Use professional-quality shampoos, conditioners, and styling products that are gentle and free of harsh sulfates whenever possible.
- Avoid mixing too many different product lines at once, which can cause buildup and dullness.
- Keep products tightly closed, stored in a cool, dry place, and away from direct sunlight to maintain their performance.
- Do not dilute products unless the manufacturer specifically recommends it, as this can change how they work.
- Discontinue use of any product that causes irritation or unexpected reactions to your scalp, skin, or hair.
Important Disclaimer
D’s Beauty & Bundles provides high-quality hair bundles and extensions. However, hair is a delicate beauty product, and its appearance and longevity depend heavily on how it is installed, handled, and maintained.
Individual Results May Vary: Results, including how long the hair lasts and how it behaves over time, will vary from person to person. Factors such as installation method, heat and chemical exposure, lifestyle, environment, and daily hair care practices all play a role in the performance of your bundles and extensions.
No Guarantee of Specific Outcomes: While D’s Beauty & Bundles provides general care guidelines, we cannot guarantee specific results (such as a set lifespan, level of shedding, or tangle-free wear), as these depend on individual use and maintenance.
General Advice Only: All information and recommendations provided by D’s Beauty & Bundles, whether on this page, in-store, or via digital communication, are intended as general hair care guidance. They are not a substitute for personalized advice from a licensed cosmetologist or medical professional who can assess your individual needs.
Limitation of Responsibility: D’s Beauty & Bundles is not responsible for damage to hair bundles, extensions, natural hair, or scalp resulting from improper installation, lack of maintenance, failure to follow care instructions, misuse of tools, or any chemical treatments (including coloring, bleaching, perming, relaxing, or texturizing) performed by you or any third party.
Returns & Care Responsibility
Care Responsibility: Once hair has been installed, altered, colored, cut, washed, or otherwise manipulated, it is considered used. At that point, its condition is directly affected by your personal care routine and the techniques of your stylist.
Improper Care Voids Return Eligibility: Any signs of improper care or misuse — including but not limited to matting from neglect, damage from excessive heat or chemical processing, buildup from heavy products, cutting or splitting of wefts, or unsanitary storage — will void any eligibility for returns, exchanges, or credits with D’s Beauty & Bundles.
By purchasing from D’s Beauty & Bundles, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to follow these care guidelines and disclaimers. If you have any questions about how to care for your specific texture or style, please contact D’s Beauty & Bundles before installing or altering the hair.
